  • Steve Templeton

    Steve Templeton, Co-President

    Steve founded Templeton Building Company in 1981. His extreme knowledge and experience in the building industry has molded the company, which has been deemed highly respected within the building industry throughout its 35 years. Steve believes in being hands-on within his company and is also a proponent of putting the key people in place within the company, to ensure high quality and efficiency.

    Steve’s belief that customer service comes first has resulted in some of his closest friends being past and current clients. Steve has held a Michigan Builders License for 35 years, and is also a Certified Green Professional through the National Association of Home Builders. Steve lives in Birmingham with his wife, Ann. They have three adult children.
  • Ben Templeton

    After obtaining his degree from Lawrence Technological University, Ben joined his father’s company. Ben retains many certifications within the building industry, such as a Michigan Builders License, Certified Graduate Builder, Certified Graduate Remodeler, and Certified Green Professional through the National Association of Home Builders. He strives to be ahead of the learning curve when it comes to building education and products through continuing education and trade shows. Ben and his wife, Kate, remodeled the first home in Michigan to be certified Green by the National Association of Home Builders. In 2012 Ben was awarded Professional Remodelers Magazine’s top "40 Under 40".
  • Ashley Gibaud

    Ashley Gibaud, Office Manager

    Ashley joined the Templeton team in 2004. She assists Steve and Ben with client service including selections, client relations, project organization, and human resources. Ashley works with clients throughout their projects assisting with selections and scheduling. She also stays on top of new products and technologies within the building industry, such as solar panels. Ashley holds a degree in Small Business Management.
  • Brian Sarver

    Brian Sarver, Commercial Division Manager

    With over 25 years experience in the building industry, Brian has a wealth of knowledge in construction. His knowledge and experience make him a very valuable asset to our Commercial Division. Brian holds a Michigan Builders License. He has previously owned businesses of his own, so Brian understands commercial construction from both sides.
  • Greg Oliva

    Greg Oliva, Superintendent

    Greg has been with Templeton Building Company since 1998. His position progressed from carpenter to superintendent, where he has been in charge of scheduling and overseeing the construction of new homes and remodeling projects of all sizes. Greg is a Wayne State University graduate.
  • Paul Smith

    Paul Smith, Superintendent

    With over 30 years of experience in construction, Paul is an asset to our management staff. He has been in charge of dozens of projects, from scheduling to client interaction, and is hands-on with each project until the last item on the punch list is complete. Paul’s vast knowledge of construction in general allows him to put the key carpenters in place for a job well done on every project. He is there to oversee every stage of construction from the initial demolition to the last piece of trim work.
  • Fred Bahns

    Fred Bahns, Superintendent

    Fred has been in the construction industry for over 30 years. He started with Templeton Building Company in 2000 as a carpenter. Fred has managed projects of all sizes throughout his career at Templeton. He is very well organized and stays involved with clients and trade contractors until the project is complete.
  • Rich Downs

    Rich Downs, Service Division Manager

    Rich joined Templeton Building Company in 2013 as a carpenter. Rich has been in the construction industry since his early 20’s. His organizational skills quickly advanced him from carpenter to Service Division Manager. Rich manages two Service Division Technicians and he is hands-on with all of the Service Division repairs and projects.
  • Christy Voelker

    Christy Voelker, Service Coordinator

    Christy joined our team in 2015. She works with Rich to schedule and maintain our Service Division, and provides administrative support to all of our supervisors. Christy is the friendly voice heard when you call, and the first face you see when you visit our office. Christy’s background as the volunteer coordinator and assistant to the vice president of advancement in the nonprofit sector makes her a great asset to Templeton Building Company. She holds a degree in marketing from North Park University in Chicago.
